Get some Christmas shopping done with the help of student entrepreneurs.
The annual Oilfields High School Winter Market returns to Diamond Valley on Thursday, Dec. 5, with everything from Christmas cards and festive decorations to one-of-a-kind woodwork and delicious food available for purchase.
Students from grades 7-12 will be vendors at the market, said teacher Pam Pracic.
Proceeds from the market will support Oilfields High School's career and technology studies and options programs, including providing funding for supplies and field trip opportunities.
"All that money goes right back to the kids," said Pracic.
"We're doing our best to support each other," she continued. "You know, this is a tough year for businesses, it's a tough year for anybody who's a government funded organization.
"Unfortunately, with the cut to our budget, we're hoping that the community can come together and help fund these programs to help them stay running."
A silent auction and photos with Santa are also on the agenda.
For this year's silent auction, 28 items are up for grabs. View the silent auction website here ahead of the market. The online auction closes at midnight on Dec. 8.
The market runs from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Oilfields High School gym.
