Candy Cane Check Stop in Diamond Valley this week

First responders in Diamond Valley will be handing out cards and candy canes, and accepting food bank donations, during a Candy Cane Check Stop on Dec. 15.

Diamond Valley’s Candy Cane Check Stop takes place tomorrow.

The Town’s first responders will be conducting the Candy Cane Check Stop on Second Avenue, outside the municipal building, on Friday, Dec. 15 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Drivers will get a holiday card made by local elementary school students, along with candy canes provided by the Foothills Lions Club, the Town said.

Donations of cash or non-perishable food items will be accepted for the Oilfields Food Bank.

The stop might cause minor traffic slowdowns, the Town said, and it reminds people to drive sober and have a safe and joyful holiday season.
