We are sad to announce the passing of
Linda Jane Simpson (née Robinson), on
October 11, 2024, at the age of 67, following
a courageous battle with cancer.

Linda was born on March 4, 1957, in
Guiseley, Yorkshire, England, where she
was lovingly raised by her grandmother,
Kitty. After completing school, Linda began
working at a local stationery manufacturer,
where she met her first husband, Trevor.
They married in 1975 but, due to their youth,
the marriage ended prematurely. Later, she
met John, and together they welcomed their
sons: Dan in 1980, Mark in 1983, and Ben
in 1985.

In June 1991, Linda embarked on a new
journey, emigrating to Canada with John and
her three boys. They first settled in Calgary,
later moving to Okotoks in January 1993.
Linda raised her sons and enthusiastically
supported their interests, especially their
hockey pursuits. She also found purpose
working in childcare, bringing joy to the
children she cared for.

In 2005, Linda was blessed to reconnect
with her father, Bernard, and they developed
a close relationship before his untimely
passing in 2007. In October 2008, Linda
made the difficult decision to return to
England. It was shortly after her return that
she crossed paths once again with Trevor.
Their love rekindled, and they remarried in
June 2014, cherishing their time together
with trips to Spain and visits to family
in Canada.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband,
Trevor; her brother, Simon (Steph); her
children, Dan (Thu), Mark (Marie), and Ben
(Lana); and her grandchildren, Aidan, Abigail,
Makayla, and Sydney.

She was predeceased by her father, Bernard;
mother, Barbara; and her grandson, Kelby.
Linda will be remembered as a proud and
devoted mother and grandmother, and as a
cherished friend to all who knew her. She
leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and
resilience.

A small service was held in her honor in
England on November 6, 2024.
