Ralph Walter Gehmlich

On Friday, March 7, 2025 Mr. Ralph Walter Gehmlich, beloved
husband to Sandra Gehmlich of Okotoks, Alberta passed away at the
age of 74 years.

Ralph was born on Monday, March 27, 1950 in Raymond,Alberta to
Herta and Karl Gehmlich. He was raised and educated in Raymond.
After high school, Ralph served a mission for The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints in France. Ralph’s post-secondary studies
began at the University of Alberta and continued to the University
of British Columbia where he completed his degree in pharmacy.
Ralph served the citizens of Alberta and British Columbia with
his pharmaceutical skills, an occupation he loved. Ralph married
Sandra Steed in 1973 and together they had six children, three boys
and three girls. Ralph deeply loved his family, the Gospel of Jesus
Christ, and all the people he associated with. Ralph also loved good
music, good books, snowmobiling, good food (but no green stuff or
vegetables), and he especially loved helping and serving others.
Ralph had a passion to work with his hands and figure stuff out.

Besides his loving wife Sandi of 52 years, Ralph is survived by his
children Jennifer and Neil (Bullock) of Okotoks, Luke and Heidi
(Koegler) of Calgary, Matt and Kathy (Nemeth) of Calgary, Helaena
and Darcy (Jensen) of Edmonton,Anna and Samuel (Bates) of Orem,
Utah; grandchildren Hannah, Natalie Linus, Charlie, Max, Sam, Eli,
Braden, McKinnley, Georgia, Abigail, Nora, Jane, Emily, Sylvie, Rex,
Rosie; and siblings Dieter Gehmlich of Salt Lake City, Utah, Robert
Gehmlich and Claudia (Prince) of Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Ralph is predeceased by his son DanielWayne Gehmlich; his parents
Herta (nee Voight) and Karl Gehmlich; brother Grant and LaVonne
Gehmlich; sister Ruth and Robert (Bob) Graham; and sister-in-law
LaDonne Gehmlich.

A Funeral Service will be held for Ralph at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday,
March 29, 2025 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Banister Chapel, 384 Banister Drive, Okotoks, Alberta. A private
family burial will take place prior to the service at Okotoks Cemetery,
Okotoks, Alberta.

Guests are invited to join with the family from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00
p.m. for a time of greeting and reflection prior to the service.
