August 9, 1954 – December 21, 2020
It is with profound sadness and great heartbreak that we announce the passing of Ted Bolin on Monday, Dec 21, 2020 at the age of 66 years old in High River, AB.
Beloved husband and Best Friend to Barb Bolin (Wilson).
Ted was born August 9, 1954 in Fort St. John, BC to Mary and Raymond Bolin. Ted came from a large family with 5 brothers, Steve, George, Alec, Colin, Gordon and 1 sister, Katie. They grew up in Charlie Lake, BC. With Teds passing they have all been reunited again. Ted married the love of his life Barb on Aug 14, 1976. They had 3 children together Lisa, Carmen, and Kyle. They moved many times over the years, a little more south each time, Grand Prairie, Spruce Grove, Calgary, Okotoks, and High River. Ted really loved his home in High River and spent the most time there.
Ted spent 42 years in the Oil and Gas industry with Baker Hughes, it took him many places and gave him so many memories that he shared with loved ones. He was immensely proud of his career and developed many lifelong friendships in the Industry.
Ted was a devoted family man and most proud of his family. His favourite time was at home with his wife and kids. He loved to sit around a campfire, have a drink and share stories. He had a laughter that was so contagious. He had a huge heart and often helped complete strangers. Ted loved and respected his wife Barb unconditionally; many will say it was a love that you do not see or hear about often.
Ted is survived by his wife Barb, children Lisa Park (Lane), Carmen De Luca (Mike), Kyle Bolin (Chelsea) and 3 Grandchildren. He adored and spoiled his grandbabies Paityn & Grayson Bolin and Declan De Luca. He bought them countless motorized toys and it brought him so much joy to watch them play. Ted also adored his 4 legged companion, Abby.
Ted will be missed immensely by his family and they hope he is at peace knowing how much he was loved and respected.
If friends or family so desire donations can be made to the Foothills NICU a cause close to his heart.
